What is Akuafoil Printing?

A special processed foil system, Akuafoil Printing is also called Aquafoil, Akuafoil, Aqua Foil, multi-foil, multifoil, multifoil colors, Gradient foil, inline foil, metallic foil, or multiple colors in foil. It is used to create thick and durable products that stand out. First, a silver base foil is applied to specified areas and then a four-color printing process is used over it. It allows you to turn CMYK colors into multi-colored foils that provide a true competitive advantage with its sparkling foil finish and shimmer. How should I set up the files for Akuafoil Trading Cards Printing?

To add the Akuafoil effect to your products, you must include an Akuafoil mask file apart from the CMYK file as that will indicate which areas of the card, the foil has to be applied. What are some points to keep in mind when using Akuafoil for printing Trading Cards?

Since Akuafoil Printing is a special element to be added to your design there are certain things to remember before you get the Akuafoil Trading Cards printed.

• Ensure that the mask file and the CMYK print file are aligned properly so there is no disparity in printing.
• Akuafoil shows best on lighter colors as darker CMYK colors end up dimming the Akuafoil look.
• Avoid using very delicate, cursive, or small text and artwork with Akuafoil. San Serif with fonts above 12 points provides the best results.
• If you want only silver Akuafoil to be printed, leave at least 15% K in the desired white area. White on the CMYK file that is represented as 100% K on the Akuafoil file will be printed as plain silver Akuafoil.

What is UV coating and Spot UV coating?

Print Magic offers the option of adding UV coating or Spot UV coating to further enhance your design and ensure durability for Personalized Akuafoil Trading Cards. When you choose UV coating, it is added to the front and back, but if you pick Spot UV coating, you can choose to add it to just the front, just the back, or both sides if needed.
