Because Akuafoil turns any printed color metallic, your foil can match your palette exactly, whether that's emerald and gold, blush and champagne, or a quinceañera pink with a soft metallic shimmer.
Design Ideas for Akuafoil Invitations
- Akuafoil border. Frame the invitation with a metallic border. It's elegant, timeless and the first thing guests see when they open the envelope.
- Akuafoil background. A light, soft metallic background, like a watercolor wash or a subtle pattern, with your text in standard ink on top so it reads beautifully.
- Metallic names or monogram in your exact wedding colors. Rose gold, champagne, emerald, navy and blush all become metallic.
- Gradient foil. Let rose gold melt into champagne, or blush into gold, across the names or border. Single-color foil stamping can't create gradients.
- Foil date line. Make the date shine so it's the detail everyone remembers.
- Art deco and geometric frames for galas, New Year's Eve and black-tie events.

Larger Runs, More Designs and Custom Options
The calculator goes from 500 to 5,000 invitations, but that isn't our limit. For larger quantities, contact us for a custom quote. Need lots of designs? Print as many as you need: designs are grouped in sets of up to 15 so we can pass on group shipping savings, and you can simply add another group (15 + 15 + 3 for 33 designs, for example). The Card Stock
Akuafoil invitations print on premium 16 pt C2S cardstock, a smooth, bright white stock with a substantial feel. Choose UV coating on both sides for gloss, Spot UV on the front, back or both for extra highlights, or no coating if you'd like to add handwritten notes.
About the Akuafoil Finish
Silver foil goes only where you want shine, and full color prints on top, turning those colors metallic. Lighter colors and pastels give the brightest shimmer; heavy, dark colors mute it.
Akuafoil or foil stamping? Foil stamping heat-stamps a solid foil strip for a pure, mirror-bright gold or silver with a crisp, pressed-in feel. Akuafoil gives you metallic in any color, several colors at once, plus gradients and shading that single-color foil stamping can't create.
Akuafoil or Pearl? Both look great. Akuafoil puts multi-color metallic accents exactly where you want them, from 500 invitations. Pearl Invitation Cards make the whole card shimmer softly, with every color showing through, and start at just 25, which is lovely for smaller guest lists.

Design Tips
- Choose one star element. Foil the names or the border, not everything, so the metallic feels special.
- Keep details easy to read. Print times, addresses and RSVP details in standard ink; use bold, larger type for anything in foil.
- Go soft for shimmer. Blush, champagne, sage and lavender over foil come out bright and dreamy.
