FAQs:
What is the difference between Clear, Opaque, and Perforated Vehicle Decals?
Print Magic offers various types of decals and clings for applying on vehicles and each comes with its benefits and features. There are some basic differences between the three that can help you decide which kind of decal best suits your needs.
Clear Vehicle Decals – Created using 8 mil Clear Static Cling that is thin yet sturdy enough for long term use, these decals offer a transparent back so it is easier to look through the vehicle window.
Opaque Vehicle Decals – Opaque Vehicle Decals are printed on an opaque adhesive material that features a white background, offering vivid printing and bolder colors as the white in the background adds vibrancy to the design.
Perforated Vehicle Decals – Perforated Vehicle Decals come with micro punctures that are the size of 1.5 mm or .06ā each, which are extremely small and cover about 50% of the Decal. Made using Perforated Adhesive Vinyl or Laminate Perforated Adhesive Vinyl that is both 6mil in thickness, they provide one-way vision.
Will any part of my Decal be transparent?
Opaque Vehicle Decals come with great coverage as the material is white by default. This means that no part of the Decal will be clear or transparent, so if you need that feature you can have a look at our Clear Vehicle Decals. We recommend not using large-sized opaque decals on the vehicle window as they can obstruct the view, and instead use them in small sizes or on the carās body.
How long do these decals last?
When used and applied properly, these Opaque Vehicle Decals have a lifespan of around 3 to 5 years. Keep in mind, this can be impacted by the kind of usage the decal goes through. Harsh sunlight and rain can impact any decal placed outdoors but under normal circumstances, they have been created using UV inks that are fade-resistant and last long.
Can I wash my vehicle after installing the decal on it?
Yes, you can definitely wash your car, bike, truck, or any other vehicle the decal is used on. But please keep in mind not to use power washers or drive your car through car washes as they both are too harsh for the decal and may ruin them. Instead, use a normal water hose, a bucket of water, or damp cloth for cleaning.
Does decal installation scratch or ruin my vehicle in any way?
Decals can in no way scratch or harm your vehicleās body or windows as the application is straightforward without the need for additional tools. The only time you need to be careful is when cleaning the surface before installation, so only use a sponge or damp cloth when doing so.
